We just wanted to add a few FAQ's and a little bit of information for all you fellow slimers out there!



First off we would like to let everyone know that slime is a result of a chemical reaction and so the texture can be easily affected by many factors such as:

      1) temperature - heat will leave your slime feeling goopy and melted. It is not a lost cause if this happens as adding activator will help it come together (but doing so may affect the longevity of play).

     2) foreign substances - if crumbs, dirt, germs etc. get mixed into the slime (via hands or dirty surface) the slime may grow mold. It will not mold on its own with the ingredients we use. 
WASH HANDS & NON POROUS SURFACE BEFORE PLAY

     3) condition of your hands - if you have very dry hands, the slime will be a lot stickier for you as your hands are trying to steal the moisture from the slime! 
BEFORE PLAY, USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF HAND CREAM ON HANDS

     4) time - slime inevitably will start to deactivate (gets softer and/or goopier) after inactivity. This is normal and can be fixed easily by kneading in a few drops of activator at a time.



FAQS

Is slime toxic??
This is a very valid question and we have put an ingredient label on the bottom of all of our products so our customers know exactly what they're buying. Our slime contains trace amounts of diluted BORAX each of our containers (4 oz.) of slime contains less than 1/5 teaspoon. 1 jar = 1 ml.
The ingredients are as follows: non toxic glue, water, diluted Borax, pigments, trace amounts of fragrance oils & baby oil.

How long does slime last?
There is no guaranteed length of time that slime will last. There is a lot of play in slime but as mentioned above, there are some factors that can affect this! After a lot of hours at play the slime will inevitably over activate (become a bit tough, almost like Play-Doh). If you leave slime in its container with the lid on for a good length of time it will eventually deactivate (loosen up for you).

Are they all scented?
Yes - ABSOLUTELY! This is part of the joy for us Nerdettes. We use trace amounts of fragrance oils which are safe for contact with skin (The same scents used in soaps and cosmetics). 

Do they come with add-ins?
This is a bit tricky because the answer is yes and no. Most of our lines do NOT come with add-ins.
Our Nerdette Featurette ALWAYS comes with some sort of clay creation that we make ourselves (We also have made these creations into jewelry for purchase). We do specify which slimes come with extras when you're searching through our collections.

Where can I buy more activator?
Each jar of slime that is purchased comes with its own small bottle of activator for your use. We do sell additional bottles of activator for $0.50 if needed.
The recipe is quite simple though if you happen to have some Borax:
2 tsp of Borax + 1.5  cup of warm water.

Do you deliver?
Yes - we sure do! We have a flat rate of $7.00 for delivery to Calgary, Chestermere, Strathmore & Okotoks. Our delivery days are Sundays. Sundays are also our preferred day for pickup orders - but we understand that life happens and if we can accommodate you we sure will try!
